Combined with Carl Zeiss Superrotator lenses and numerous DSLR lenses, coverage is near or full frame 645. The Hartblei Cam brings these two worlds together in one simple elegant solution for digital or film capture.
Designed and precision manufactured for medium format digital backs, with the accuracy required for DSLR or 35mm mount lenses. The Hartblei HCam is built to order, supporting all key manufacturers. The following platforms are available:
Hartblei HCam – Digital back support
- Phase One / Mamiya 645
- Contax 645
- Hasselblad V-Series
- Hasselblad H-Series
Hartlbei HCam – DSLR lens mount
Many DSLR lenses cover much larger than the 35mm format. Advanced designs for increased resolution provide a benefit of a significantly larger image circle. Most exceptional is Canon’s 24mm tilt-shift lens which covers 645 format with movement while maintaining sharpness to the corner. The Hartblei Cam supports a digital interface for the Canon EF mount with full electronic aperture control. Additional manual mount versions of the Hartblei cam include Nikon F, Sony/Minolta, Pentax K, Leica R and Contax.
Hartblei – Carl Zeiss Superrotator lenses
Legendary Carl Zeiss optics are precision re-engineered adding tilt and shift capability. Focal lengths include the 40mm f4.0, 80mm f2.8 and the 120mm f4.0 Macro. All Superrotator lenses are available in Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony/Minolta. Pentax K, Leica R, and Contax.

Features:
Motorized Sliding Back

The traditional accuracy problems with bearings and sliding backs has been overcome using a self aligning, motorized sliding back system. Friction is reduced using Teflon glides and complementary materials. The motor and battery systems are well proven and sourced from the Video industry. With a 7200mAh battery, the camera can run all day.
Phase One/Mamiya 645DF shutter
The open platform approach of Phase One and Mamiya was an attractive reason to select the 645DF shutter for the Hartblei Cam. The shutter is designed as a module that is easily replaced making service both in-expensive and simple.
